How the heck would you know your battery was going dead? does it pop up a warning box or something? That's pretty strange.

Ohhhhhh, waiiiiit. you must be rebooting your computer. Why the heck would you want to do a thing like that?

I had a PC that would do that occasionally, I'd just set everything to "auto" and ignore it.
